CSA sucks

Overnight reduction in child maintenance?

I am sure there are places that explain the overnight reduction in child maintenance, but I haven't read it, nor have any plans to seek it out, as clearly it is unfair and wrong!

If a PWC has a child for 4 days (meaning 4 x 24 hours) a week and the NRP has the child for 3 days a week, then why would the NRP only get a 3/7th take off their child maintenance to pay?

If all was just and fair the NRP should only be paying 1/7th of the child maintenance assesment... as there would only ...

About the new C-MEC, and the alledged improvements... atleast the journalist mentions that:

It's very often a fact. PWC will stop/reduce NRPs contact with the children in question so the PWC can get more money... but it seems that the ones at The House of Lords weren't aware of this!!! And more shockingly so... that one of them thought that the CSA is only involved if the PWC is on benefits!!!

Personally I look at it with great horror that the CSA will have these powers... I have personally seen some of the mistakes the CSA makes... what happens if they wrongfully access someones account, take away their driving license or passport? Or even worse... take charge of a house and it all turned out to be a clerical error due to CSA maladministration?

Here's an alternative to CSA... one that is based on the childs needs... and what the parents can and are expected to pay according to their means...

This is from a different country, and how they work out what child support should be paid to the PWC. My knowledge of the language isn't perfect... but I've done it to the best of my ability... They do not have the equalent to CSA, and they encourage parents to work it out between themselves.

CSA and arrears re-payment time???

I have yet to see any proof that it is the law that people have to pay any arrears owed in child maintenance within 2 years as the CSA has not only stated to me and my family, but I have also seen numerous other people have the same stated to them.

Now it seems that people aren't even getting the 2 years (which for so many is already impossible), but it has been shortened down to 18 months.

But what is more shocking then this (yes, it's possible... CSA can get even worse!), it seems ...

A brilliant website where one can go for support when the CSA gets things wrong (and lets admit it... they certainly do!). There is a fee of �40 per year to become a member though, but if you can afford it, then it's certainly worth it!
